BENEFITS OF TEMPTATIONS (SECRETS UNVEILED)
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers
temptations;
The joy of the Lord is really our salvation.
Right now, I feel it in my heart to share this scripture with you. What
must interest us most in this text is the fact that God assures us to count all
that we may go through as joy. It means temptations are a possible occurrence.
If God is then asking us to count those temptations ``joy``, it means, for a
true and spiritual child of God, one of the sources of your joy is temptations.
Not that I pray that temptations may come your way, but rather we will uncover
a reaction that drives the temptations away.
It is of a fact that God hates evil and therefore anything that will
limit our joy. Since time immemorial, God ceases everything that tries to block
the joy of His children. In the beginning when the world was without form or
void, God made it habitable. When there was no darkness, He comes as a light
into the world. In every negative situation, He presents a positive reaction.
In fact, our God is a God of the positive.
This raises the question. Temptations are undesirable situations. Why
then should God ask us to count it all joy. First, it implies that, God is
aware of the situation. Mostly, we think God forgets us in times of trial. But
one earthly evidence of the nearness of God to you in those times is the care
of the mother for her child. A good mother rushes to her child at the slightest
sound of cry. That is how God treats us. Whenever a mother approaches her
child, the child stops crying because it feels the presence, joy and security
of the mother.
God is always near us in our trials and temptations, but the question is
``are you aware?`` Awareness of God’s presence all the time in your life is of
a great reverence. He says ``I will never leave nor forsake you``.
Deu 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid
of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not
fail thee, nor forsake thee.
This is a true saying and God cannot lie.
But does a child remain a child forever? Children need to grow. They
still have their parents attention, but as you grow, you must now recognize the
love that your parents have for you and be able to trust them always. God needs
be trusted. One reason that God needs us to grow is this ``Gal 4:1 Now I
say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant,
though he be lord of all;``
, I wish to ask; which child will agree to remain a slave ALTHOUGH he is
master of all? It is a fact that lack of knowledge, people suffer. Most
children of God are missing out on a lot of things because they are still
children or even babies. We need to grow by the word of God and live by faith
in it.
He is the God that makes a way when there seems to be no way. Remember,
there only SEEMS to be no way, but actually with Him, there is always a way.
So now why be joyful in temptations?
In life whenever someone realises that you can actually feel, experience
and react to the pains he or she is causing you, he or she will come back to
give you more. He has actually placed you in the situation he wants you to be.
{Please not that ``he`` is used in generic terms and therefore refers to both
male and female}. Until you show that individual that his actions are having no
effect on you, he will keep coming.
Now, temptations come to give us pain, sorrow, suffering and all the
negative things you can think about. However, in the midst of the chaotic state
of the earth, the spirit of God was still hovering over the surface of the
water. This means God is actually in every situation and just like Daniel in the
den of the lions, He wants us to rejoice. We are not rejoicing because we love
the situation, but because we have already overcome it.
Have you ever asked yourself why God asks the weak to say they are
strong, the poor to say they are rich? That is the language of the kingdom.
Abraham spoke things that were not in existence as if they were.
Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many
nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and
calleth those things which be not as though they were.
We give glory to God for always giving us the victory in Christ Jesus.
Amen.
God has a reason and purpose for everything. Imagine God, the greatest
of all can allow His children to be in bondage for more than 400 years. Why
should Daniel and his friend face a situation of being thrown into fire?
Lastly, there is a reason why God allowed the Philistines in bible days to
capture the ark of God`s covenant to their country. It was then that God
Himself destroyed Dagon their god and had vengeance on them. You are the temple
of God, if you face trials, know that God only wanted to use you to overcome
the devil. Trust in Him for all things work together for good.
If you are yet to believe and accept Jesus as your personal Lord and savior,
it is so simple but crucial. Believe in Him from the bottom of your heart. No
individual can know what you feel in your heart except God. After believe, you
need to confess Him and be saved forever. This is according to Romans 10:8-10
Remain blessed
